Beginners courses take place during the outdoor season, which starts in April, at Brimfield and Little Hereford Sports Club. These courses are run on a one to one or one to two basis, and teaches the basics of Target Archery.

The course is aimed at archers 10 years old plus. If an individual has a health issue or a disability, then archery can still be for you, and our coaches are happy to confidentially discuss this with you.

Sessions are normally run on an evening and/or weekend. The current cost of the course is £30 for all ages.

We teach beginners using the “Recurve” style of bow. This will give you the basics of shooting, and enable you to go on and shoot other styles such as longbow, flatbow or compound. All equipment is provided for the beginners course. Potential archers will be allocated equipment which will be for their sole use during the course, and for a short time after if they join the club.

Enquirers will be contacted by phone by a club coach to discuss times and dates for their course. At this time any health issue or disability can also be confidentially discussed with the coach.
